Rice Krispie Treats

Rice Krispie Treats

It was bound to happen, wasn’t it? My kid really liked making these crispy crunchy treats and he likes eating them even better. Here’s the classic recipe.

Prep Time: 5 mins Cooking Time: 10 mins

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter
4 cups mini  marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies

In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies and stir until well coated. Using buttered spatula press mixture into 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares. Best if served the same day.  Makes 12 to 15 squares.Rice Krispie Treats

It's super easy to do Rice Krispy treats in the microwave as well and the girls love to watch the marshmallows puff up! Here's the recipe…http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1642,150160-22420

I like to add a couple of spoonfuls of marshmallow creme at the end. This makes the rice krispie treats extra gooey!
