Past Giveaway: The Pretzel Cookbook
I love street food. I just can’t help myself! Specifically, soft pretzels. Check out this perfect pretzel we got on the streets of NYC. It was bigger than my kid’s head! My kid liked it, but decided he prefers the homemade soft pretzel recipe we made ourselves. Regardless, it got me thinking, do others like street food as much as we do?

my favorite street food is the giant smoked turkey legs at disneyland! Nothing tops them. That has to count as street food…it's on a street…even if it is a fake one.
We've have an amazing local venture in a mobile truck here called OhMyPocketPies, its fantastic. They set up at various street corners or parking lots. My fav item is the Twice baked Potato pocket pie.
I don't know if I really have a favorite street food cause I love them all!!!!! I guess if I have to pick one, it would be the honey roasted peanuts in NYC. But then if you go to Canal Street (in NYC) you can get stir-fry noodles or pan fried dumplings. Though I warn to eat at your own risk. Food safety is not a priority for them. But then don't forget the freshly grilled/roasted cuttlefish in Taiwan. I still have to make my way to Vancouver for the Chinatown Night Market which has all your typical street vendor food. Drooling just thinking about it!
We "like' it on facebook.
My favorite street food is a hot dog, from the vendor here in Alaska. It's a bit gross I know but it's my poison and my kids too!
my fave is always, and will always be, the nyc soft pretzel, with salt of course! in fairness, though, i'm also a huge fan of the churro and those 'hot nuts' that smell so amazing in downtown in winter.
When I was in High school and College I spent many of my Summers over seas doing missions work- one of my favorite Street Foods was in Venezuela. They sold HUGE burgers topped with a fried egg, avocado, ham, dry coleslaw, potato sticks and ketchup- they were so yummy- Even though it's been 19 years since I was in Venezuela I can still remember those burgers and I've even recreated them for my family
Tamales! We are so fortunate to have lots of farmers markets with food stands of all kinds.
My fav new street food is the new chocolate covered bananas at Disney, and I love your photo, it put a big smile on my face when I stopped by tastespotting this morning.
my favorite street food is by far the pretzel with lots of yummy oh so bad for you nacho cheese!
"Liked" the give away : )
My favorite street food is pretzels. Nothing else – although all these food trucks I've been reading about in NYC seem like fun.

my favorite street food is Spanish 'churros'… specially as a snack for chill summer nights
My favorite, when I lived on Long Island many moons ago, were the hot chestnuts on a cold day in NYC. Now, it would be the pretzels with salt and tons of mustard.
in china (and many asian countries), street food it the way to go! There's everything you can imagine and it's cheap, quick, and delicious. Maybe not the cleanest…but hey, i'm still alive! One of my fave is grilled whole squid brushed with spicy sauce and other awesome condiments. mmm
Taco truck tacos! My kid even ate tongue and raved about it for weeks (months, maybe) afterward. Yay for taco trucks!!
Wow, a cookbook just focused on pretzels! That's so cool!

My favorite street food is probably tacos! Yum.
I love felafel as far as street food goes. Pretzels are not far behind!

My dad and I used to always get Italian Sausage when we were at a fair or amusement park – still one of my favorite street foods!
I love the taco stands that are popping up everywhere!
I'm also having a giveaway at my food blog, check it out here http://atasteofkoko.blogspot.com/2010/07/ximendin…
I am partial to spiced warmed almonds.
Oh a hot dog with sauerkraut.
I live in NYC and have enjoyed a fair share of street food. My favorite, and now my sons, are the Italian ices that get wheeled around by hand cart in the warmer months. The vendors honk a horn or ring a bell to alert us of their presence. My 2 year old stops dead in his tracks when he hears the 'honk' then goes running for the cart, just like the pied piper. My favorite flavor is Mango, while my son is Coconut. Mmm.
We don't have any street food options where I live, BUT I would love to have a mobile taco stand in my town…my husband and I, in our future dream retirement life, will own a taco stand called 'satan gave me a taco' and we will drive around in the streets blasting mid 90's alt rock and selling delicious tortillas stuffed with culinary delights.
I love yakitori or any other kind of meat on stick… yum.
Pretzels with lots of mustard are my favorite!
I LOVE pretzels with a bit of mustard. yum! and who doesn't love caramel corn?
Love the Kettle Corn Sold on the Street at Downtown Disney!
My favorite street food would have to be chicken on a stick!
Mine has to be those giant soft pretzels with mustard for dipping. Love them!
pretzels keep me sober at wurstfest in new braunfels tx!
Street foods are one of the things I miss most about living on the East Coast! Soft pretzels are awesome, but I'm partial to the "squished" variety from Philly. Nothing on the West Coast compares!
My fav would be Italian Zeppoles… nothing can beat dough that are deep fried!!!! Thanks for the giveaway! If I win… def have to try them recipes out.
I love street food. Ice cream when it's hot, and I am sucker for street car hotdogs (although I don't want to think about the mystery meat in them) and I love soft pretzels. I remember begging my mom for them when we would be in Washington D.C. when I was a kid
I LOVE warm pretzels. I have actually been meaning to make pretzel bites…I misplaced the recipe. This book sure would come in handy!

My favorite street food is a nice warm freshly fried churro.
I still drool when I think about the amazing street crepes I had in Tokyo a few years ago, made fresh, they were filled with all kinds of decadence like ice cream, berries, chocolate, etc. So good!

I LOOOVE soft pretezels, and I haven’t had one since moving away from Philly!
There are no real pretzels here in KY.
I just became a follower as well. Love the blog. And if you are ever in Grand Cayman, try a meat pie sold on the road-side.
My husband freaks because you can't even be sure what meat you are eating, but I'm telling you…serious YUM!
Favorite street food? Gyros — the good kind with spit roasted and shaved meat. Mmmm
I really love pretzels too and love to have nacho cheese for dipping! Churros are pretty great also.
I love a half smoke (DC's version of a hot dog).
My favorite Street food would probably be the smoked corn on the cob. It might be a southern thing, but here at the fairs they have the biggest, most juicy corn on the cob. I love it.
Honestly, I'm such a nachos addict. If I could find a nachos street cart somewhere in Kansas….that would be my dream come true!
we live at the beach so my favorite would have to be fries! yum!
i follow your rss feed!
I love the gyros in NYC. Also crepes. A huge one with nutella and bananas.
Fish tacos are the best!
Have you been to Ben's Chili Bowl in DC? My brother used to live near it and I was crazy for it.
Mmmmm. I love tamales too!
I love the taco trucks…cheap and delicious food. What more can a girl ask for?
My favorite street food was mandioca that you could buy from carts in Brazil. It was excellent.
We don't have the concept of street food where I live, but I love visiting cities where you can get a steaming hot dog or some hot, smoked almonds from a streetcart. I'm thinking my town needs a taco truck!
CHUROS!
Def. a yummy pretzel in New York City! Yum!!
We don't have a lot of street food vendors here but I do love hot dogs with grilled onions, peppers and sauerkraut.
My favorite "street food" is vanilla ice cream dipped in red cherry coating! You used to be able to get them at dairy queen but the only place I've been able to find it lately is on the streets in NYC! I love them and crave them in the summer but its been 3 years since I had one last! :o( Time to plan a trip to NYC.
Tacos are my favorite street food.
My street food fantasy is the pretzel!
My favorite street food is definitely Cuban sandwiches YUM!

Fried pickles!
hands down, it has to be a gyro! thanks for having this contest!
I love gelato!!!
I don't live in a town that is big enough for street food, but I loved the french fries when I visited Amsterdam!
I think hot pretzels are my favorite food in the world! My kids know to keep theirs away from me or they'll end up missing a few chunks!
I have always loved corn dogs with mustard.
My favorite street food used to be hot chestnuts in winter, when I lived in NYC when I was younger. Yum.
My husband and I just had Ben's Chili Bowl for the FIRST time last week. We were at a Nationals game and they have a concession stand. I'm sure it isn't quite as good as the real thing but it was pretty darn good.
Pretzels are my favorite! But at the State Fair, they have this thing called Big Fat Bacon. It is a giant piece of Bacon on a stick covered in Maple syrup. Super rockin. This book sounds awesome
