Potted Parsley

Potted Parsley

Months ago we were turning the corner in the the produce section of grocery store when my kid noticed they had an entire display of vegetable seeds. He asked if we could plant some and I thought this would be a perfect little lesson in where food comes from. We decided to start with parsley because I’d heard it is rather easy to grow. We soaked the seeds over night and then sprinkled them atop some damp soil. We waited patiently and she began to sprout. With continued watering and some good sunlight she really started grow. My kid has squealed in delight at every stage! We plan to pick a recipe which includes parsley next week so we can taste what we’ve grown. Next up: basil!

In bloom!
