Countdown to 2011: Pomegranate Lime Bubbly
You can’t really ring in the new year without a glass of bubbly. But you can’t really hand a 4 year old a glass of champagne. There’s also pregnant friends to consider and those who have already had too much by the time the clock strikes 12:00.
We still had some of the Pom Cranberry Syrup in our fridge so we decided to make our own New Years eve mocktail recipe. Don’t worry, if you didn’t make the Sparkly Pomegrante Cranberries, you missed out but you’re still in luck. The syrup is simple enough to make and you don’t need the cranberries.
It came out tasting like old fashioned home-made soda and it was yum! Look at my goofball likin’ his lips after he got his hands on it! Now for the recipe…
Pomegranate Lime Bubbly Recipe
Prep Time: 10 mins Cooking Time: 10 mins
Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
1/2 cup pomegranate juice
limes, juiced
club soda
To make the Pomegranate Syrup, combine granulated sugar, pomegranate juice and water small saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir until sugar dissolves and remove from heat. Refrigerate until ready to use. To make Pomegranate Lime Bubbly mix two parts club soda, one part Pomegranate Syrup and a splash of lime juice. Stir and serve with a twist of lime.

It is a gorgeous drink! Do you carbonate it with a Fizz Giz? I think that's the quickest, most economical and effective way to go. A quick Google for Fizz Giz will explain why?
