Happy Brownies
If you’re like me, you’d agree that the brownies toward the outside of the tray are always better than the brownies on the inside. It’s the crusty bits that taste the best. Making brownies in a muffin tin ensures that every single brownie has a nice crusty edge. Even without smiley faces, these are pretty happy brownies.
Making them in muffin tins and decorating them with smiley faces makes even boxed brownies taste over the top. My kid did a few practice brownie faces and called the ones with scrunched up faces “blobbyheads.” Then he got the hang of it and made some pretty cute faces!
I guess it’s not really fair to even call this a recipe. I suppose it’s just an idea. It’s a fun idea though. Now for the details…
Happy Brownies Recipe
Prep Time: 5 mins Cooking Time: 20 to 25 mins
Ingredients:
1 box of brownie mix (we like Ghiradelli)
cake decorating tubes fitted with a round tip
Preheat the oven and prepare the mix according to the package directions. Generously grease a muffin tin and spoon brownie mix into each cup until it is 1/2 to 2/3 full. Bake for 20 to 25 mins. Let cool completely before removing from tin. Remove and decorate! Makes 12 to 16 happy brownies!
