Ten Plagues on a Plate

Prep Time: 45 minutes  Hands on Time: 30 minutes

Supplies:
Paper Plates(white or colored)
Bamboo Skewer Sticks
Hot Glue Gun
Glue Sticks
Elmers Glue
Double Stick Tape
Stickers and Felt (Plagues of Flies, Lice and Locusts)
Animal Silly Bands (Plague of Dying Cattle)
Rubber Frogs and  Huge Mega Leg Frog (Plague of Frogs)
Red Food Coloring, Clear Hand Sanitizer and Zip Lock Bags (Plague of Bloody Water)
Red and Brown Puffy Paint (Plague of Boils)
Yellow Puffy Paint, Black Liquid Tempera Paint and Googly Eyes (Plague of Darkness)
Crystal Rocks (Plague of Thunder/Hail)
Red Pipe Cleaners and Paper Baby Icon (Plague of Death of Firstborn Son)

Begin by gathering up all the toys and items you need for each Plague and place them on a paper plate.  For each Plague or group of Plagues, do the following:

Plague of Flies, Locusts and Lice: Place the shiny metallic stickers on felt, cut them out and glue them on the back of a paper plate with the hot glue gun.  Next glue the plate to the inside of another plate but leave space to put your stick in.  After the glue has dried, put some hot glue on the bamboo skewer stick and put the stick in the opening between the two plates.

Plague of Dying Cattle: Place animal silly bands on the plate and glue them down with the Elmers glue.  Follow the same steps as first Plague for plates and sticks.

Plague of Frogs: Place all frogs down and glue down frogs with the hot glue gun.  Follow the same steps as first Plague for plates and sticks.  On these plates, we used two sticks since it felt a bit heavy.

Plague of Bloody Water: Squeeze some clear hand sanitizer into two double bagged zip locks and add a drop of red food coloring.  Very carefully close both bags.  Next cut out some waves on the plate and double stick tape the tightly sealed bags of “red water” on the inside of the plate.  Follow the same steps as first Plague for plates and sticks.  On these plates, we used two sticks since it felt a bit heavy.

Plague of Boils: Squeeze out red and brown puffy paint into dot shapes on the plate.  Follow the same steps as first Plague for plates and sticks.

Plague of Thunder/Hail:  Place crystal rocks in different shapes and sizes on plate and glue down with hot glue gun. Follow the same steps as first Plague for plates and sticks.  On these plates, we used two sticks since it felt a bit heavy.

Plague of Darkness: Paint the plate with black liquid tempera paint.  Once the paint has dried, glue down the googly eyes with hot glue gun all over the plate.  Next, with some yellow puffy paint, paint a moon.  Follow the same steps as first Plague for plates and sticks.

Plague of Death of Firstborn Son: With the hot glue gun, glue down a baby boyish paper icon, like a onsie, booties, rattle (anything blue!)  Next take the red pipe cleaner and make a circle shape with a diagonal line through it and hot glue gun it to the plate.  Follow the same steps as first Plague for plates and sticks.
