Savory Sitter: Apple Chips & Dip
I think that this snack treat might be my most babysitter friendly post yet! It doesn’t get much easier than this. It’s also really fun to make and eat. All you need is an apple and some yogurt of your choice. We used pink strawberry yogurt in honor of Valentine’s Day.
I sliced the apple into thin “chips” and then we popped out the seeds. Cutting them out into heart shapes was a really fun activity.
Even the baby enjoyed the fruits of our labor. She dipped the apple chip into yogurt and sucked the yogurt off as if it was a spoon. Then she gobbled the apple chip heart right up! Such an easy and fun treat. Now for the recipe…
Valentine’s Apple Hearts with Yogurt
Prep Time:5 minutes Cook Time 0 minutes
Ingredients:
1 apple
1/3 cup strawberry yogurt
Slice apples crosswise into 1/4 inch wide slices. The core of the apple should be in the center of the slices. Place slices flat on a cutting board and using a small heart shaped cookie cutter, cut hearts out of the apple slices. Place yogurt in a small ramekin and serve with apple slices.
