Festive Watermelon Stars
Holidays are all about having fun with food. My kid just loves watermelon so I thought it would be cool to cut out some star shapes in honor of our country’s independence! This is the easies activity ever. The only trouble I had was keeping the stars out of my kids mouth. He wanted to eat each one as soon as it was cut!
- Preparing to cut.
- Making the cut.
- Taste test!
- Cut out melon.
- Recycled melon for adults.
- Festive Watermelon Stars!
We used a baby seedless watermelon because I find that they are consistently sweeter. We didn’t waste any melon. We just recycled the left over parts into watermelon chunks and my husband and I had it with our dinner. Happy 4th of July! Now for the recipe…
