Smokey Corn Saute
My dear friend and business partner, John, recently suggested I purchase some smoked paprika for use in a few recipes on the blog. He said I’d love the smokey flavor and that it would be mild enough for my kid. So far he’s 1 for 1 because this dish is both kid friendly and mom approved. I’m sure it will taste even better in the summer when the corn is extra sweet.
Prep Time: 5 mins Cooking Time: 10 to 15 mins
Ingredients:
4 ears of corn (shucked)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 to 2 teaspoons smoked paprika (be sure the paprika is SMOKED)
sea salt and fresh pepper
With a very sharp knife, cut the corn kernels off the cob. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add kernels and saute until they begin to look brown and toasty. Add paprika and sea salt and fresh cracked pepper to taste. Serve hot.
- Removing corn kernels.
- Corn saute.
- Smoked paprika.
- Digging right in.
- Smokey corn saute is served!
PS: I read your comments to my kid every night. He loves hearing what you think of our adventures... so tell us! And check back in if you've tried out one of our recipes!

pimenton de la vera, baby!
We love smoked paprika! It's like bacon for vegetarians!
Putting this one on my list!
Good! Now I have something to do with all that boring frozen corn in my freezer! Looks delicious.
Hi,
I just had this in restaurant and couldn't believe how good it was! I came on line to see how they might have gotten the corn to taste smokey and a little spicey. Wow! Delicious!
