You had me at "Donuts for Dana." They look unbelievably good. That is one lucky kid getting to make such amazing food everyday. Now that I've mastered the Baked Ziti, I might have to move on to these.

i don't even like donuts and i'm making (and eating) these. where does one buy a donut pan? and that pic of whisking while thumb sucking needs to be featured more prominently on your site — it is CLASSIC and says it all. omg.

Isn't that thumb sucking picture a riot? I've posted a link to the exact donut pan at the bottom of the recipe. Alternatively you can find this pan at Sur la Table, but call first bc they sell out.

I've heard people say how great the donuts are that come out of these pans. Your recipe and pics may have just sold me on buying one now. ;)

Hey, I bought that very pan at Sur la Table yesterday :) ….and made these donuts this morning. Yum!

I scooped the batter into a ziploc bag and cut the corner off, then piped it into the pan….easy, no mess. Thanks for the recipe!

The listing for the pan says it's oven-safe up to 325ºF – how does that work with this recipe?
Just wondering – I'd love to try making these but am cautious about non-stick coatings.

I actually bought this same donut pan years ago and gave it to my sister as a gift, oh the regret after seeing how delicious your donuts look! I am buying myself a new pan.
    Thanks for the recipe..

Awesome! Are you going to give me a substitute for Krispy Kreme chocolate donuts? Just kidding! I think these will be great. We just got the regular & mini pan at Sur la Table. That store is awesome! My son loved the store as much as I did. I'm excited to use the mini-pan to make healthy treats for his bento lunchbox. He loves almost anything that looks like a donut.

Is there a substitute you could use for the yogurt? I'm allergic to yogurt but not any other dairy.

I bet buttermilk would work although I haven't tried it myself. Let me know if you do!

the thumbsucker looks so cute, but the animal he is holding is it a puppy? it looks exactly like one that my 3 1/2yo GD holds onto for dear life in the same position! thought it was adoreable!

The vanilla yogurt that you used – how much sugar does it have in it? I’m just wondering if I can do a straight across sub with the lowfat vanilla yogurt I already have in my fridge, instead of going to buy another kind. If mine is sweeter, I figured I could cut the sugar in the recipe down some.
    These look delicious!

Would this work with fat free plain yogurt?
