Cooking with My Kid: Teaching My Kid and myself the art of cooking in 365 days

Bagelwich

This household favorite is absolutely delicious and ready in under 5 minutes. The key to a perfect bagelwich is having a microwave safe ramekin that is the exact same size in diameter as a bagel. The microwave steams the egg with no added fat or butter.

Prep Time: 3 mins  Cooking Time: 1 minute

Ingredients:
1 bagel
1 egg
1 tablespoon lowfat milk
1 to 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese

Put a fresh bagel in the toaster. Meanwhile, crack 1 large egg into ramekin, stir in tablespoon of milk and cheese. Microwave on high for exactly one minute. Slide egg onto toasted bagel and enjoy.

PS: I read your comments to my kid every night. He loves hearing what you think of our adventures... so tell us! And check back in if you've tried out one of our recipes!
